Coffee, tea, certain herbs such as sage, henna and indigo can be used once a week to cover gray hair completely. There are no side effects with its use. Hair coloring is a great way to integrate a new dimension into our look, but it poses many health hazards. Scientific studies have found that most synthetic coloring agents in warehouses are loaded with potent carcinogens.

Natural and safe ways to dye your hair

1. Coffee

Coffee is also an effective and safe natural dye for hair styling. Apply a mixture with the following ingredients, then wash and dry:

  • 1 cup strong or espresso coffee decoction
  • A half-cup of conditioner like vitamin E-rich almond or olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons ground coffee

Wash with apple cider vinegar to ensure the color stays longer. Coffee will turn gray hairs into a brown earthy tone. Repeat the process once a week to allow color to be maintained.

2. Tea

Tea, although not as strong compared to the coffee decoction, is a fair choice to give your roots a touch-up . All you have to do is mix the following ingredients into one cup.

  • Cup of strong tea (made with 3-5 tea bags or a similar amount of loose-leaf tea)
  • Half a cup of conditioner, such as vitamin E-rich almond or olive oil.

Apply it in the hair and let it act for an hour. Repeat the application on gray filaments if you need a deeper color.

3. Herbs

If you want to darken the color of your hair, there are certain herbs that will make it simpler. To turn gray hair into red, you should wash it with boiled and cooled marigold, marigold, rose hips and hibiscus. Let it dry and then rinse.
